Car Detailing
Car Detailing Procedures
When it comes to car detailing, most car detailers generally tend to follow what I like to call the five recommended detailer steps for taking care of auto paint. From washing all the way to waxing
Washing
Obviously this would be the first port of call when prepping a motor vehicle for exterior detailing. This is for primarily removing loose crap off your paint.
Cleaning of Painted Surfaces
This is basically removing contaminants off your paint that would not otherwise wash off with regular washing
Polishing Painted Surfaces
Basically removing surface damage. IE scratches, swirl marks, blemishes, bird etchings and so forth. Restoring a painted surface to a mirror finish. Also known as paint correction
Paint Protection
Applying waxes , sealers and so forth to protect the newly prepped and polished surface and to lock in that shine
Maintenance
The final trick in all this hard work is maintenance. No point working off your backside if you don't know how to maintain your paint.
One thing needs to be mentioned though. This isn't a procedure you follow all the time if you don't need to. It is basically followed in steps when a vehicle has not been cared for over a long period of time. Basically the paint looks weathered, worn away, faded, heavily scratched and so on. If your paint is cared for regularly, the need to be doing this on a continuous basis is never necessary.
All that is basically required is waxing on the recommended periods that your wax comes with. Some people use sealers, or artificial paint protection for new cars because they don't have time to be waxing or polishing their cars. Car enthusiatasts however do have time to wax and generally do so at every opportunity they get. Have you ever wandered why some cars on the road have a very appealing finish ? Regular maintenance that's why.
So if you need paint protection for a new car, give Dr Buff a call. A real detailing and paint protection Pro for your new car
Detailers like this guy have usually been around for a very long time and surely do know a thing or two when it comes to paint care. If they can make paint shine like the sun, they can pretty much do anything when it comes to increasing gloss on your paint or removing damage with paint correction or general detailing on its own. Give a real pro a call in paint correction and you will see the difference.
